Location: Owen Sound

Our client’s 90’s kitchen was ready for an update so she turned to the design team at Van Dolder’s.
We were able to offer a number of space and layout improvements while making sure every change complimented the original hardwood floors that they wanted to preserve.

“Maintaining the original hardwood flooring was important to the homeowner and we were able to offer a great upgrade with the same footprint.”

To add cupboard space and improve the visual appeal of the kitchen, our team removed the original bulkhead allowing for taller uppers with a beautiful “large cove” crown moulding that fits nicely to the ceiling. On the peninsula, we increased the depth of the countertop to create a comfortable overhang to welcome seating for three. To create more counter space, we split the full height storage pantries, giving us the room needed for the new coffee counter. Finally, we added glass cabinet doors inserts above the coffee counter to showcase the owner’s beautiful glassware.
